BULBS FOR LONDON

BULBS FOR LONDON is an MPGA initiative in collaboration with Taylors Bulbs of Holbeach, a leading UK bulb company.

This project started at the end of 2012, when Taylors very generously donated a selection of spring bulbs to the MPGA, which were distributed to amenity groups across London.

Bulbs for London was officially launched in 2013. There was a fantastic response and at the end of the year bulbs were sent out to a wide range of public gardens including schools, community gardens, hospitals and several charities, as well as the Garden Museum, Strawberry Hill House, Southwark Cathedral and Gordon and Woburn Squares.

Overall, a total of 200 sites across the 33 London boroughs have now benefitted from the scheme, brightening the daily lives of countless people across London.

In the Autumn of 2014 groups will have the opportunity to apply for bulbs, which will be available for planting at the end of the year.
