Bulbs for London is an MPGA initiative in collaboration with Taylors Bulbs of Holbeach, a leading UK bulb company

We had a fantastic response to our Bulbs for London 2017 initiative and during December sent out bulbs to 100 gardens and sites across London.

As a charity we work within the 33 London Boroughs and the good news is that bulbs were sent out to almost every Borough. The bulbs are not available until the very end of the planting season and so have to be planted as soon as they are received. In the main, this is due to the wonderful teams of volunteers who are active throughout London. In fact our initiative highlights just how many volunteers there are giving their time to enhance the Capital's green spaces for the benefit of us all.

Our thanks go to our partners in this venture, Taylors Bulbs of Holbeach, who again in 2017 very generously provided and distributed the bulbs totally free of charge. These bulbs, combined with those planted under the scheme in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016.

in total benefitted over 750 sites. In the Spring when they come into bloom, they have a tremendous impact and brighten the daily lives of countless people across London. We ask all the sites to send us pictures of their bulbs when they are in flower and here are some of the photos we've received.
